This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
We are seeking certified MOSSA Group Fitness Instructors to lead engaging, high-energy classes. Instructors will motivate and guide participants through dynamic fitness routines in a positive, inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead MOSSA fitness classes, including formats like [Group Power, Group Ride, Centergy, Group Kick, Group Active, etc.].
- Provide clear instructions and modifications for all fitness levels.
- Ensure safety and encourage participant engagement throughout each session.
- Maintain equipment and adhere to class schedules.
Qualifications
- Must be at least age 18 years
- MOSSA Certification
- Previous teaching experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate and lead group exercise classes to a diverse group of participants
- First Aid, CPR/AED certification within 90 days of hire date

- YMCA Child Abuse Prevention Online Training
- Blood borne Pathogen Online Training
- Notify Healthy Living Director within 60 days before First Aid, CPR/AED expiration date. The YMCA provides First Aid, CPR/AED recertification classes.
