York Ford of Brazil has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Automotive Service Advisor to join our growing service department in Brazil, Indiana. As an Automotive Service Advisor, you’ll be the liaison between customer and technician and responsible for communicating with customers to understand their maintenance needs, relaying their needs to their designated technicians, and ensuring quality maintenance on vehicles.

The Service Advisor will be responsible for assisting customers with various requests in a timely and efficient manner. Our employees deliver the highest quality service while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greet customers, utilize the walk around process to evaluate service needs, and promote a positive customer service experience.
Listen to requests of the customers. Understand customers' requirements and concerns. Match requirements and concerns to various service options.
Estimate the cost and time needed to do the repair, taking into account the customer's schedule.
Refer the technician to the customer and/or test-driving the vehicle to confirm source(s) of service repairs.
Promote a positive response from the customer on service recommendations. Obtain customer approval to do additional work. Explain information on the repair order in detail and answer all questions/concerns.
Check on the progress of the vehicle during service. Provide updates to the customer on the service of their vehicle. Explain any additional service issues to customer if necessary.
Describe all work performed and related charges billed.
Handle customer complaints and maintain high customer satisfaction standards.
Stay abreast of new products, features, accessories and attend product training as required.
Establish/maintain a follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
- 1 - 3 years experience in a similar position preferred
- Demonstrate the ability to understand basic mechanical repairs
- Strong customer service orientation/experience with organizational skills
- Must be able to safely adhere to shop policies and regulations when necessary
- Demonstrate the ability to learn and repeat basic mechanical repairs
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with customers, sales associates, and management
- Must be reliable and able to work a flexible schedule depending on business needs
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company and customer vehicles
- Ability to stand for eight (8) to ten (10) hours per day
