Duties / Responsibilities:
· Drafts site plans, grading plans, topographic plans, and other civil survey documents.
· Collects and analyzes data for the preparation of drawings from on-site field measurements.
· Drafts structural components/callouts and details in AutoCAD, Civil 3D.
· Ability to read site plans and boundary / topography surveys as well as interpret field data.
· Coordinates information between field, office staff, clients and building officials.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
· Calculates points for stakeouts.
· Provides assistance in estimating projects.
Required Skills / Abilities:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the primary business language, English.
· Ability to comprehend and follow directions.
· Ability to work well with others and communicate professionally with clients and coworkers.
· Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D preferred but not required.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
Education and Experience:
· AutoCAD experience and education required
· Preference and compensation given to individuals with civil / survey experience.
· Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in drafting, engineering, or a related field, preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
· Must be able to travel to various job sites and traverse uneven ground, various weather conditions and unpredictable construction site conditions to obtain necessary data and provide professional services as required
· Must be physically able to climb stairs/ladders, lift 20 pounds, bend, and crawl into awkward spaces
