Leaning on over 50 years of experience in the field, Youngquist Brothers well drilling division is the leader in large diameter deep injection well drilling, with the introduction of the E-Rig allowing us to stay at the forefront of drilling technology.
Youngquist Brothers LLC is looking for a qualified IT Field Technician that will install and maintain a variety of software, systems, and equipment in the field as well as in the office that contributes to sustainable company production.
The ideal candidate will have great troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail and thorough knowledge of IP cameras and related operating systems. The goal is to build and maintain updated and efficient computer systems and networks on our construction sites to optimize the role of technology in business sustainability. Company transportation and tools are provided.
Schedule: Monday – Friday full-time
Location: 50% office in Fort Myers, 50% Jobsites throughout Central and South Florida
Pay: $20-22 DOE
Insurance benefits after 90 days including medical, dental, vision, life and supplementary (AD&D, STD, etc.), 401K.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to various Youngquist Brothers LLC construction jobsites around South/Central Florida to install, troubleshoot, configure, maintain, and repair systems (i.e. peripheral devices and network cameras) in office and out in the field.
- Evaluating network performance, scheduling upgrades and maintenance for improvement without disrupting workflow, and keeping records of all repairs, maintenance, and updates alongside ordering necessary equipment
- Monitoring, repairing, and installing low-voltage cables and systems for electronic equipment, security cameras and communication devices at jobsites.
- Working with management on designing and installing computer hardware, networks, connections, and cabling. Recommending solutions and low-cost, high-quality materials according to company needs.
- Providing technical direction and giving training to coworkers about network systems as needed
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Authorization to work in the United States (FLORIDA)
- Valid Driver’s License with clean MVR
Position Qualifications:
- Experience as IT Technician, or relevant position working with low voltage wiring and hardware installation
- Excellent diagnostic, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, explaining and demonstrating how to utilize installed systems and equipment to coworkers of varying computer skillsets
- In-depth understanding of diverse computer software, networking systems, all associated hardware and internet security and data privacy principles
- Experience with security camera systems and integrating into network
- Degree in Computer Science, engineering, or relevant field a plus (but not required)
- Certification as IT Technician (e.g. CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified IT Professional) a plus (but not required)
- Working knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols, a plus
