Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated social work minded candidate to join our Family Support Center team. The Family Resource Specialist provides parenting education, coordinates pantry services and provides support and resource linkage to caregivers and families accessing services through the FSC.
Duties
- Provide individual and group parenting services with caregivers referred to the FSC.
- Link caregivers and families to social, health related, educational, employment, housing, legal, and/or other strengthening services as relevant, including emergency assistance services as assessed.
- Work with the Center Director to maintain a presence in the communities served by attending/participating in pertinent meetings and organizations that hold the same goal of improving the quality of life for families as the Center and YHS does.
- Work with the Center Director to establish and maintain ongoing outreach efforts for the Center.
- Assist with the collection and maintenance of required data utilizing established methods of collection and retention.
- Attend pertinent staff development programs to keep abreast of current trends in children's mental health and family needs in the communities served by YHS and the Center.
- Complete necessary paperwork as assigned in a timely and professional manner.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective partner and client interaction.

- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others improve their circumstances.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
