Regional Program Manager (Southern NM)
Location: Must reside in Lea County, NM.
Worksite: Hybrid (3 days in office)
Summary: Join our expanding national nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering and transforming the lives of youth and young adults. We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Regional Program Manager to assist with developing and co-managing a drop-in center in Hobbs, NM, and to supervise and support staff located in four adjacent counties. This position is ideal for a human services professional with a background in social work, youth programs, mental health, or the juvenile justice system, aiming for a leadership role in program management and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership and Program Oversight: Oversee all aspects of the program's execution, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of services geared towards youth/youth adults ages 11-25. Ensure the program aligns with our mission and compliance requirements.
- Team Management and Development: Supervise a diverse team including a Youth Program Coordinator, Peer Advocates, and Youth Peer Advocates, providing ongoing support and evaluations to ensure all incidents, communications, and reporting are handled in a professional manner and regional goals and objectives are achieved.
- Community and School Engagement: Develop and strengthen partnerships with local schools, community organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to enhance program reach and effectiveness. Lead public speaking and training initiatives to promote program goals and engage community sectors.
- Administrative Excellence: Manage scheduling, reporting, and administrative functions to support program activities and staff coordination. Maintain meticulous records of activities, program budgets, and program outcomes.
- Crisis Intervention and Support Services: Implement and coordinate mental health support services and crisis intervention strategies. Provide guidance and non-clinical support to staff, youth and their families.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Master’s Degree preferred. Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a human services field or a relevant field, with a strong preference for candidates having extensive experience in fields relevant to youth services.
- Professional Experience: At least 5 years in human services, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role within educational, residential, or mental health settings. Experience in crisis intervention and community collaboration is highly desirable.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate effectively across various levels, including engaging with community leaders, youth, and team members. Strong public speaking and advocacy skills required.
- Technical Proficiency: Highly skilled in Microsoft Office, Google Platforms, electronic health records systems, and general technology use.
- Language Skills: Bilingual abilities in Spanish and English preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation and personal auto insurance.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Willingness to travel to and occasionally to state or national conferences.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Starting salary range: $60,000 - $72,000, based on combined education and experience.

Schedule:
- Full-time; Monday to Friday with occasional weekends as required.
