Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to maintain financial records and ensure the accuracy of our tribal accounting processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial concepts, Fund accounting, and tax regulations. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of our clients financial data and supporting overall business operations.
Duties
- Oversee all aspects of accounting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processing.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Manage tax filings and ensure timely payment of taxes owed.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks to record transactions accurately.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare monthly financial reports for management review.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts based on historical data and financial trends.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role in corporate accounting.
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts, debits, credits, and general accounting principles.
- Proficiency in balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements is preferred.
- Experience with accounting software, particularly Sage, is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data effectively.
- Ability to multi task, working on Multiple Clients within a day along with interacting with the Yukon Accounting Team.
- Prefer a bacholers in Accounting.
