Job Summary:
The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is seeking a skilled Developmental Support Worker to provide personalized support services to individuals with developmental disabilities. This role requires coordinating village-based services, assisting individuals in accessing resources, and working collaboratively with the Traditional Council to ensure the individual's safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement personalized support plans for assigned individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Provide direct support services to ensure the individual's daily needs are met.
- Coordinate village-based services and facilitate access to necessary resources.
- Collaborate with the Traditional Council to ensure the individual's safety and well-being.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in special education, child/family health and development, counseling, and/or community development (preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent/GED.
- Two years of progressively responsible experience working with consumers with special needs.
- Valid State of Alaska Driver's License or ability to acquire a driver's license.
- Tuberculin clearance at time of employment and annually thereafter.
- CPR and First Aid certification required or willingness to complete the class.
