Job Summary:

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is seeking a skilled Developmental Support Worker to provide personalized support services to individuals with developmental disabilities. This role requires coordinating village-based services, assisting individuals in accessing resources, and working collaboratively with the Traditional Council to ensure the individual's safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement personalized support plans for assigned individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Provide direct support services to ensure the individual's daily needs are met.
  • Coordinate village-based services and facilitate access to necessary resources.
  • Collaborate with the Traditional Council to ensure the individual's safety and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in special education, child/family health and development, counseling, and/or community development (preferred).
  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED.
  • Two years of progressively responsible experience working with consumers with special needs.
  • Valid State of Alaska Driver's License or ability to acquire a driver's license.
  • Tuberculin clearance at time of employment and annually thereafter.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required or willingness to complete the class.
