Job Summary

Yumiko is expanding the team at the New York Flagship Boutique. We are looking for part-time sales associates with a dance background and retail sales experience.

As a Junior Sales Associate you will be responsible for driving the selling efforts and customer relationships through superior customer service and sales techniques, while supporting merchandising and product flow. Associates must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, which will include weekends and holidays. Junior Sales Associates must also:

- Demonstrate knowledge of YUMIKO merchandise, current marketing campaigns, and in-store promotions

- Maintain neat and organized stock including straightening, hanging, sizing, and merchandising

- Cover key areas of the store including fitting rooms, VIP section, and cash wrap

- Efficiently execute all store tasks within company guidelines as assigned by store management

- Follow all cash register policies and procedures

- Practice Loss Prevention awareness through servicing the customer and supporting a culture of honesty

- Participate in cleaning of the store, including dusting and spot cleaning of windows, racks and mirrors, etc.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the Junior Sales Associate is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands for firm and strong grasping; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The Sales Associate is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Sales Associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 25 pounds.

Schedule Requirements

The Sales Associate must maintain availability that meets the needs of the business, which will include weekends and holidays. We are currently looking to hire sales associates who are able to work most weekend days, as well as 1-2 days during the week. This would total approximately 20-28 hours per week. The YUMIKO New York Boutique is open 12pm to 6pm everyday.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
