The Senior Sales Executive at Yusen Logistics Americas plays a critical role in driving revenue growth and expanding service offerings within assigned territories.
Responsibilities:
- New Business Development:
- Develop and pursue new business opportunities through research, prospecting, and qualifying new leads.
- Focused on acquiring mid to large-sized customers with significant potential for growth.
- Closing new business and onboarding new customers while achieving assigned sales targets.
- Presenting proposals, recommending new services, and overcoming objections to drive sales.
- Collaborating with international offices to push/pull sales leads.
- Maintaining an active pipeline of prospective clients aligning with targeted industry verticals.
- Maintain and Develop Existing Accounts:
- Increasing market share within the existing customer base.
- Supporting transportation issues as liaison between operations and clients.
- Working with existing customers on service proposals, rate quotations, and transportation schedules.
- Providing subject matter expertise on export regulations, loading methods, and freight handling.
- Coordinate and Liaise with YLA Branch Operations and Customers:
- Liaising with branch operations teams on behalf of customers.
- Coordinating with credit departments to establish lines of credit and negotiate collections.
- Reporting on rates, carrier use, and operational problems.
- Establishing effective working relationships with branch operations departments.
- Bachelor's degree in logistics or related field (preferred) and/or 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, international operations, or equivalent combination.
- High level organizational and time management skills.
- Strong customer interaction and centric approach.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, persuasive and influential with customer contacts.
