FERC Reporting Manager – Oil & Gas

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced FERC Reporting Manager to oversee all aspects of regulatory reporting to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of FERC regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance and timely submissions of reports, as well as providing strategic insights based on regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the preparation and submission of all FERC related reports, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Develop and maintain reporting schedules, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising accuracy or quality.
- Collaborate with accounting, operations, and legal teams to gather necessary data and insights for FERC reporting.
- Research and document accounting issues regarding GAAP guidance as applied to regulated accounting and document FERC to GAAP differences
- Review current processes and procedures for compliance with the regulatory guidance and industry guidelines
- Review and approve new account mapping to regulatory accounts
- Train and mentor accounting department on FERC reporting requirements and best practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all FERC inquiries and audits.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting required with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in regulatory reporting with a focus on FERC Forms 2/3Q and 6/6Q.
- MUST HAVE FORM 2 EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge of FERC reporting and accounting requirements and FERC to GAAP accounting differences.
- Certified Public Accountant preferred
- Strong understanding of FERC and US GAAP
- Experience with reporting software (Workiva) or other related software a plus
- Experience with a robust ERP
- XBRL experience a plus
