Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects using Sage Timberline software.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
- Negotiate contract terms with clients and vendors to secure favorable conditions.
- Conduct site visits to gather information for accurate estimates and assess project feasibility.
- Monitor ongoing projects to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and timelines.
- Provide support in project management activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating or related field.
- Proficiency in Sage Timberline or similar estimating software is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Knowledge of cost control methods and techniques within the construction industry.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Familiarity with construction site operations is a plus.
