What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Z-CoiL Footwear?
We are seeking a skilled accountant to take charge of overseeing and administering our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
As a crucial member of our small business team, you will handle various financial aspects including payroll, banking, HR, insurance, and shareholder relations.
- Generate timely financial reports such as cash flow statements, balance sheets, and income statements within 30 days of month-end. Conduct ratio analysis on income statements to ensure adherence to predetermined margins such as Gross Profit Margin (GPM) and Sales as a percentage of overall costs.
- Direct the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, costs, property, operating expenses, and insurance records.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal tax regulations for our online business operations. Offer recommendations to management regarding operational adjustments in response to changes in tax codes.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and monitoring procedures.
- Facilitate all State and Federal tax payments.
- Manage and oversee payroll processing activities.
- Establish and manage relationships with banks and oversee all bank accounts. Process wire transfers for orders.
- Coordinate QuickBooks orders and integration with Shopify via Webgility.
- Assist in preparing financial reports for annual shareholder meetings. Handle incoming communications with shareholders and accurately monitor existing shares.
- Negotiate healthcare insurance plans, procure general liability insurance, and advise management on insurance coverage for property losses and potential liabilities. Manage workers' compensation.
- Maintain records of existing HR policies.
