Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Tier III Network Engineer to support a critical IP Voice transport network for Defense Switch Red Network at Ft. Meade, MD. We are seeking an individual who can provide design, implementation, and maintenance of complex networks focusing on security and performance optimization of Juniper/VOIP/UC services.

Responsibilities of the Tier III Network Engineer:
- Design, implement, test, and maintain a complex enterprise network following industry best practices.
- Address and resolve Tier III network and security support issues.
- Conduct independent network assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and develop solutions.
- Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures, including Engineering Implementation Plans (EIPs).
- Participate actively in Root Cause Analysis for Problem Management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
- Manage vendor relationships, engage in Incident Support activities, and ensure timely delivery of program deliverables.
- Monitor network equipment, plan for capacity, and handle backup and recovery.
- Stay updated with technology trends, and recommend new technologies, tactics, and tools to enhance service delivery.
- Clearance: TS/SCI clearance
- BA/BS degree in Information Technology or Information Security, Computer Science, Intelligence Analysis, Cyber Security, or another related field of study or equivalent 12 years of experience troubleshooting networks (routers, switches, VPNs, BGP, VOIP, etc.), Masters with 10 years of experience
- Security Certification or other DOD 8570 IAT II certifications
- Experience deploying and administering juniper devices
- Extensive experience administering unified capabilities (VOIP, UC, BGP, ERGP)
- Extensive knowledge of defense-in-depth principles, Network and Security architecture, network topology, IT device integrity, and common security elements.
- Experience reviewing ACAS scans and providing engineering supporting to the program to mitigate findings
- Strong understanding and in-depth knowledge of IP network/subnet addressing.
- Experience developing and presenting technical information to senior customer management, customer stakeholders, and company management.
- $120k-160k **based on years of experience**
