Zaddy Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a client in Chicago for a direct hire Sales Account Manager with 5 years of sales experience in the food ingredient or specialty chemical industry. The role is 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
About the Role: Drive growth and foster strong partnerships within a dedicated sales territory as our Sales Account Manager. You will be instrumental in onboarding new clients, nurturing existing relationships, and identifying exciting new business opportunities. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for the food ingredient or specialty chemical industry and the ability to build rapport across diverse customer teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategically manage and expand a defined sales territory to achieve targets.
- Successfully onboard new customers and provide ongoing support to existing accounts.
- Develop and implement tailored strategic plans to maximize customer value.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory.
- Analyze market dynamics and customer needs to uncover innovative product applications.
- Cultivate robust relationships with key stakeholders across customer organizations (R&D, Quality, Purchasing, etc.).
- Deliver persuasive sales presentations highlighting the benefits of our ingredient portfolio.
- Represent the company at national and regional industry events.
- Provide timely and comprehensive activity reports to the Head of Sales & Marketing.
What You'll Bring:
- Minimum of 5 years of direct sales experience within the food ingredient or specialty chemical sector.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrated success in direct ingredient sales and through distributor/broker networks.
