Summary
As a Human Resources Manager at Zak Dirt, Inc., you will play a vital role in shaping our workforce and fostering a positive work environment. This position is essential to our mission of maintaining a hardworking team dedicated to Colorado’s construction legacy.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all facets related to new hiring, including position postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, job offers, and other onboarding management
- Plan and execute development and delivery of training programs, including new employee orientation and manager training
- Develop and implement human resources policies, including updating employee handbook as needed, and ensure that policies are compliant with state and federal laws and regulations
- Develop, maintain, and administer performance management program, including annual and interim reviews, career paths and Career Advancement Plans
- Conduct employee surveys
- Analyze and research trends in compensation & benefits to establish competitive programs and ensure legal compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations, including reporting requirements
- Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
- Conduct stay and exit interviews
- Develop a team culture consistent with the Zak Dirt’s core values
- Provide benefit administration support by communicating benefits offered and handling benefit inquiries
- Maintain human resource information system records and compile reports from the system
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role within the construction industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations practices and labor laws.
- Experience with talent acquisition strategies and interviewing techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with employees at all levels.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks efficiently.
