About your role:
The Project Accountant is a hands-on, full-time position with day-to-day duties responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable invoicing, as well as handling employee timesheets and expense report processing.
Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities
- Oversees both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for major projects
- Acquires proper vendor documents and processes invoices for payment through a three-way match process.
- Assists project managers with project setup, purchase order entry & reconciliations, client change order management, project closure.
- Works with the Project Managers to obtain vendor invoice approval.
- Resolves invoice discrepancies and prepares proper backup documentation for each client invoice.
- Acts as the billing manager for multiple projects.
- Enters invoices into online systems, as required by clients.
- Ensures proper billing occurs per various contract requirements.
- Assists in the proper collection of tax and lien waivers on a project basis.
- Aids the accounting assistants through leadership.
- Processes employee timesheets according to all applicable rules, as well as employee expense reports and reconciles documentation, and assists employees with any questions on timesheets or expense reports.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.

8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Hours vary and are dependent on business needs. |
40 Hour Work Week |
Monday through Friday, hours may vary with the workload. |
Evenings/Weekends/OT |

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting, finance, or business administration, is required.
- 1 year AP/AR experience required.
Type of Experience Needed to be Successful
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills to propose mutually beneficial solutions.
- Advanced leadership skills with experience leading large or technical teams through complex deliverables.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, as well as other software required to execute daily tasks.
- Ability to independently make decisions and direct work for projects and daily workflow.
Supervisory Expectations:
- The position does not have any regular responsibility for overseeing or supervising the work of other team members.

Salary : $76,000 - $85,000
