About your role:
This is a hands-on, full-time position with day-to-day duties that include providing updates both internally and externally regarding project status, including but not limited to earned value, cost performance and schedule performance. This position also maintains project documents and records. The Project Controls Supervisor will also oversee project controls personnel to ensure the business goals of the company are met. This position coordinates with and supports Project Managers, project teams and interfaces with clients. The Project Control Supervisor is expected to bring new ideas and incorporate best practices while positively assimilating into and promoting the corporate culture.
Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities
- Interface with VPs, Directors, and Project Managers to assign projects and tasks to the Project Controls team.
- Manages recruiting, hiring, training, professional development, and mentoring for the Project Controls team.
- Implements and updates departmental standards and best practices.
- Coordinates with project teams and external parties to gather information needed to create and update project status reports, including financial information, earned value and project status.
- Handles earned value management and client communication, as well as maintains project cash flow.
- Manages quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) of project documents and drawings, document routing, as well as creating and issuing transmittals.
- Maintains project master drawing list and drawing folders, in addition to maintaining document sharing sites, creating with job books, and permitting support.
- Creates and updates project and proposal schedule, provides schedule analysis, and understands the workflow of engineering and construction activities, in addition to creating, updating and maintain schedule templates.
- Provides support of construction through submittal and request for information (RFI) routing, construction quantity takeoffs, earned value, and quantity tracking, as well as communicating between field and office.
- Coordinates meetings and records meeting minutes, then distributes minutes to internal and external project teams.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 3 years of supervisory experience required.
- 5 years of project controls experience preferred.
- 5 years of industry experience preferred.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced problem-solving skills in order to manage complex situations and resolve to solutions anticipating needs now and into the future.
- Demonstrated ability of leadership skills with experience leading teams through strategic processes and align with peer group project needs and timelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, as well as proficiency in scheduling software.
- Advanced awareness of workflow, and project tradeoffs to make decisions based on needs now and into the future.
Supervisory Expectations:
- The position supervises or manages the work of at least two full-time employees or the equivalent. The position includes decisions or recommendations regarding personnel actions such as hiring, disciplinary action, overtime, changes in pay and terminations.

Salary : $104,000 - $145,600
