HOW DOES IN-PERSON / HYBRID WORK @ ZEAL?

We have a "communication first" culture, meaning close to 90% of our team works hybrid at our office in SoMa near downtown San Francisco. Some team members work remotely on a schedule, but take measures to come to the office to get that in-person collaboration. Employees who work in the office come to the office 2-3x a week.

‼️ This role is open to hybrid in San Francisco for full-time OR 20 hours a week part-time (fully remote)

ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary function of this role is to provide expeditious and high-quality execution on financial analyses (modeling, data analytics and financial analyses), PowerPoint slide creation, and assignments related to corporate development, such as industry research. You will work closely with our executive team to research, analyze and develop sound financial analysis for a VC-backed Series A fintech start-up!

SOME THINGS YOU MAY BE WORKING ON

• Preparing valuation and other financial analyses
• Calculating financial metrics, assisting with the annual business plan and budgeting process
• Constructing financial statements in Excel and see macro trends
• Calculating financial metrics, assisting with the annual business plan and budgeting process
• Performing financial modeling and flex tests
• Communicating and presenting financial patterns, insights and discrepancies via Powerpoint to internal teams and external clients
• Conducting market research and "skate to puck"

YOU HAVE

• 1-3 years experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, venture capital or management consulting, preferably with a focus on the technology industry
• Strong academics in business, accounting, economics, finance
• Strong financial modeling skills
• Confidence and poise in presenting to executive management
• Proven ability to lead and drive complex projects/analyses
