OVERVIEW:
Our client, a Global Fortune 50 organization and one of world’s largest distributors of Health care systems, medical supplies & Pharmaceutical products,seeks an accomplished Telehealth Nurse.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Onsite (Training), This will be a hybrid work environment (in-office required once a month)
- The candidate should live within a reasonable driving distance of 11800 Weston Parkway Cary, NC 27513
- Location: 11800 Weston Parkway, Cary, NC 27513
- DURATION: 3 months assignment with possible extension.
- Shift Hours: Training is Monday to Friday 9 to 6pm All training is done on site.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Counsel and educate new/existing patients on specialty drug therapies via phone
- Adherence to contracted and accrediting regulations as indicated by drug specification
- Complete, thorough and accurate documentation utilizing good documentation practice and compliance to industry standards and regulations using EMR.
- Discuss potential/current side effects with patients to educate about treatment alternatives and facilitate ongoing therapy adherence.
- Identify and report adverse events (AEs) and product complaints (PCs) to the manufacturer, FDA, and/or other governing authorities.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Registered Nurse with current unrestricted multi-state compact state license
- Must have High School Diploma
- Must have minimum 5 years of nursing experience with either acute care, telehealth, case management.
- Strong Computer skills, including e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet and web-based programs.
- Effective orally and in writing communication, experience with motivational interviewing preferably.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret practice standards, professional journals, technical procedures and government standards and regulations.
- Experienced, fully competent in oncology/hematology nursing care.
- Completes own role independently or with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook), Microsoft Teams, basic computer skills.
