Logistics, Shipping/Receiving Supervisor

Position Summary:

The primary responsibility is work related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials to internal workstation and external customers, equipment and supplies. Works with independence in carrying out duties. Responsible for the accurate of counting and storing of all inventory. Assist manufacturing manager as required. Provides administrative support to production staff.

Essential Skills and Experience:

· Experience in warehouse operations including receiving, shipping, and packaging of inventory.

· Ability to decisively act in important situations, easily grasp concepts, and solve problems in production.

· Office Skills: telephones, data entry, office software (word processing, spreadsheet and presentation package)

· High school diploma, Associate’s degree desirable

· Previous use of shipping software such UPS/FEDEX and LTL is plus

· Able to multi task and meet daily deadlines

· Will be responsible with manufacturing manager to negotiate for best shipping rates from carriers.

· Requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. / Forklift experience is a plus

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for handling all outgoing shipments which includes preparing all shipping documents. Will be responsible for all incoming shipments which include inspection, confirming inventory is accounted for, and properly stocked.

Providing assistance to the production process and scheduling, overseeing quality control and ensuring products are shipped properly. May supervise up to 5 people.

Assist in checking production standards and applying quality-control programs

Unload trucks and process receipts into M90 system; verify quantity and other specifications; check for discrepancies in purchase order number or vendor packing list information.

Assist in enforcing all Safety rules and regulations to ensure everyone is wearing the proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

Manage cycle counts to help maintain accurate numbers in the system.

All other duties as assigned
