What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Engineer - Controls position at Zobility?

Position Description

  • Co-Develop Selectable Drive Mode (SDM) Model implemented on Vehicles
  • Develop In-house Software Requirements and Design Verification Plans
  • Execute MIL and SIL Testing on SDM to prove conformance to requirements
  • Support development of other In-house Model Based Features
  • Generate In-house Software AUTOSAR Embedded "C Code via Model Based Code Generator
  • Perform Static Code Verification and Analysis to verify software standards(e.g. MISRA-C) are achieved
  • Integrate Software into ECU Software Environment
  • Ensure Configuration Management process is implemented and consistently followed
  • Develop Software Validation Tools using Matlab/Simulink/ECU-Test
  • Perform Software Functional Verification Testing via SIL Test Environment
  • Work closely with Feature and System Engineers to resolve in-house software issues
  • Innovate and Develop new processes and tools to improve productivity
  • Help improve our Software Development Process and work towards ASPICE Level 3

Experience Required

  • Experience developing embedded C/C code applications
  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink Software Tools
  • Experience developing Software Requirements
  • Experience executing Software Verification Testing

Experience Preferred

  • Experience in engineering role for Chassis systems (e.g. Steering, Brakes, Suspension, etc.)
  • Troubleshooting experience with electromechanical systems
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Simulink to develop AUTOSAR Embedded C-Code
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using ECU-Test
  • Experience with Software Configuration Management Systems (e.g.GitHub)
  • Experience with Software Standards (e.g. MISRA-C)
  • Experience applying Systems Engineering
  • Experience with ASPICE
  • Experience applying ISO26262 Part 6 to Software Development
  • Ability to manage/resolve urgent launch concerns
  • Demonstrated ability to apply engineering disciplines for failure mode avoidance
  • Experience developing and executing component test plans
  • Experience using Polyspace to execute Static Code Verification Testing and Analysis
  • Good communications and project management skills
  • Strong leadership skills, passion for quality, passion to improve customer satisfaction
  • Good team player

Education Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science

Education Preferred

  • Master's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
