Commercial Plumbing Estimator and Project Manager -
This position requires the detailed-driven mastermind that isn’t afraid to take the bull by the horns and get down to business. No one will be peering over your shoulder micro-managing you. Your role would include overseeing all aspects of commercial projects from the bid opportunity to CO, ensuring timely delivery of accurate proposals, maintaining budget adherence, and upholding superior quality. It's up to you to drive project success by managing teams, financials, risks, and client relationships. Being well versed, thorough and accurate during the estimating portion will make the project management aspect a walk in the park. We are all in a people business. Having the skills to communicate with our team and our other building partners is a must for our success!
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quantity take-offs, compile estimates, and prepare comprehensive project proposals.
- Manage budgets, control costs, and track financial performance to maintain profitability.
- Monitor project progress, enforce timelines, and proactively mitigate risks.
- Oversee procurement of equipment, materials, and services essential to project execution.
- Lead project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for multiple simultaneous projects.
- Facilitate seamless coordination and communication with clients, general contractors, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
- Direct purchasing, material acquisition, and subcontractor/vendor contract administration.
- Interpret construction plans, and specifications to guide project execution.
- Develop layout drawings and ensure accurate documentation.
- Manage RFI’s, submittals, purchase orders, and other project documentation.
- Support GC estimators and engineers through collaboration and technical expertise.
- Conduct site visits, participate in project meetings, and uphold quality assurance standards.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to site foremen, and superintendents.
- Oversee workforce planning, labor distribution, and overall job site efficiency and safety.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as an estimator/PM or the burning desire to do so with a minimum experience of being a field supervisor with strong and detailed computer skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of project documents (plans and specs), commercial plumbing systems, local codes, and safety regulations.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to help direct teams, and effective collaboration with clients and contractors. All this while having strong team building communication skills.
- Be able to operate plumbing estimation/management software. If you have your proven favorite, we will entertain adapting to your favorite.
