JOB SUMMARY:
General Manager is the driving force behind the restaurant’s daily operations, ensuring exceptional service, quality, and guest satisfaction. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals, oversee financial performance, and maintain the highest standards of excellence in a dynamic and upscale dining environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency and high standards of service and quality
- Lead, train, and develop the management team and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
- Monitor and manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and drive business growth
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and refine menu offerings, ensuring consistency and excellence
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and supply chain logistics to ensure efficient operations
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe environment for guests and staff
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional and courteous manner
- Support the planning and execution of special events and private dining experiences
- Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to communicate goals, policies, and updates
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity, making adjustments to stay competitive and relevant
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to sales, labor, and other key performance metrics
- Stay current with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation
- Represent the restaurant in the local community and industry events, building relationships with key stakeholders and driving brand awareness and reputation
- Follow Zuma's service standards and protocols, including uniform guidelines, grooming standards, and service etiquette
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested
JOB KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- 5 years of progressive leadership experience in restaurant management, with a proven track record of success in high-volume, upscale dining environments
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Solid understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team to achieve common goals
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate ideas, influence stakeholders, and build consensus
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset and a focus on continuous improvement
- Proficiency in restaurant management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office suite
- Passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest service
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required
