Position Description: Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the department’s shift, including Safety, Product Quality, Material Waste, and Labor. Manages daily sampling, non-conformities, inspections, process audits, testing protocols, performance trends. Also, involved in Strategic Planning, Budgeting, Capital Investment, and Organizational Development.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for operating cost of the shift
- Supervise associates and others in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws and regulations
- Manage and implement safety initiatives
- Compliance Leader for facility
- Serve as key point of contact for all audits and inspections
- Ensure quality standards are being met
- Create a culture which encourages participation, innovation and process improvement. Foster an environment of commitment and teamwork
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
- Instill a culture of openness, honesty and integrity through solid associate relation practices and communication
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 years total manufacturing experience with supervisory responsibilities.
- Self-motivated, works with a sense of urgency and purpose, able to balance priorities and function independently, well-organized and detail oriented.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally & written, with all levels of employees.
- Experience in process improvement programs preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to change and support/lead manufacturing projects.
- Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish)
