Zurich Cover More is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our Group in North America.
The Accounting Assistant will provide support to the team of general ledger accountants in a variety of ways across multiple legal entities.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries as assigned
- Park journal entries as assigned
- Reconcile and code bank transactions
- Reconcile and code purchasing card activity
- Reconcile intercompany activity, working with counterparties as needed
- Reconcile various balance sheet accounts
- Coordinate intercompany billbacks and settlements as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of related experience
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be willing to work overtime when needed
- Ability to multi-task with strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn.
- Team player that is self-motivated with a strong work ethic who can be successful in a dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in the accounting field preferred but not required
- SAP experience is preferred but not required
- Experience with foreign currency is beneficial but not required
