DIRECTOR OF NURSING (DON) RN - Full-Time - Rock Island, Illinois - ANNUAL SALARY $100K and POTENTIAL FOR EARNED BONUS!
Generations at Rock Island has an opening for a Dynamic Director of Nursing (DON). Our Administrator is seeking a well-experienced Director of Nursing or a seasoned ADON who is looking for new responsibilities to partner with her in leading the facility into the next generation of healthcare services.
THE DON IS NOT REQUIRED TO WORK THE FLOOR. YOU'LL BE WELL SUPPORTED BY MULTIPLE NURSE MANAGERS INCLUDING THE ADON, REHAB NURSE, IP NURSE, WOUND NURSE AND MDSC, NURSE MANAGERS, CNA/SCHEDULER AND UNIT MANAGER.

Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing (DON):
- Direct staff and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to support to the residents and their families
- Supervise scheduling of staff to ensure uninterrupted service
- Obtain staff by recruiting, interviewing, verifying references and assisting with criminal background checks
- Assist in completing monthly audits of sample EMR charting
- Review admissions/referrals and assist in interviewing/selecting residents for admission with the Administrator's approval
- Serve as chairperson of the Quality Assurance Committee and any other committees as required by existing regulations or as appointed by the Administrator
- Prepare clinical nursing reports for the quarterly Quality Assurance meetings
- Prepare Performance Improvement reports as required by JCAHO guidelines
- Supervise the MDS/Care Plan Coordinator to ensure that all MDS forms are completed accurately and in a timely manner
Requirements
Requirements for the Director of Nursing (DON):
- Minimum two (2) years of Director of Nursing (DON) experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license from the State of Illinois
- Clinical and supervisory experience required
- Previous hospital and/or skilled nursing experience
- Excellent leadership and relationship building skills
Salary Description
$100k per year earned bonus
