The Specifics of the Senior Accountant Role:
As the Senior Accountant, you'll report to the CFO. The main responsibilities for the Senior Accountant are:
○ Manage and/or execute the following for the client and its portfolio companies:
○ Accounting & reporting
○ Month-end close processes
○ Account reconciliations
○ Accounts payable & expense reimbursements
○ Accounts receivable, invoicing & collections
○ Payroll via third-party provider
○ Insurance coverage via third-party providers
○ Maintaining capitalization tables
○ Tax requests for third-party tax preparation
○ Due diligence requests from investors and acquirers
○ Other projects & initiatives with the Chief Financial Officer
○ Collaboration with Financial Planning & Analysis department
Requirements
Successful Senior Accountant Candidate will have:
● Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or another quantitative discipline
● 3 years of demonstrated experience in accounting
● Ability to manage and maintain a general ledger
● Ability to execute and improve efficient month-end accounting closes
● Ability to generate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
● Technical accounting research skills
● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
● Evidence of advanced problem-solving, innovative thinking, and strategic planning to deliver creative solutions
● Ability to work collaboratively on multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment with strong time management and organizational skills
● Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication, and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
● Must be able to perform in a high-pressure environment, and be able to meet tight deadlines
