We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team and help us continue to grow and serve our customers.

Job Description: The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the store. This includes supervising staff, managing inventory, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for hardware and home improvement products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Store Manager in daily operations, including opening and closing the store.
• Supervise, train, and motivate staff to provide exceptional customer service.
• Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking merchandise.
• Assist customers with product selection, inquiries, and purchases.
• Handle customer complaints and returns in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
• Assist in planning and executing promotions and sales events.
• Maintain accurate records, including sales, inventory, and employee performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business or management is a plus.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of retail management experience, preferably in a hardware or home improvement setting.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office and retail management software.
• Knowledge of hardware, tools, and home improvement products is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
