Last Mile DSP, a military veteran-owned company, is growing and hiring Delivery Drivers for our residential and commercial delivery contract with Amazon at the NEWEST location in NORTH LAS VEGAS. You will start at $19.00. You will drive one of our Amazon Prime-branded Vans, wear a free Amazon-branded uniform, and use the most advanced technology and equipment in the package delivery industry.

The Delivery Driver will be responsible for arriving at the North Las Vegas Amazon Delivery Station on time, loading Amazon packages into one of our company vans, and safely and efficiently delivering the packages to people's homes and businesses throughout the Las Vegas Valley.

DUTIES / TYPICAL DAY:

Arrive on time or early at the delivery station to receive your van assignment based on a pre-approved weekly schedule

• If you are on call (i.e., standby), you will arrive too and get bonus if not put on route
• Receive the morning 3-5 minute briefing to discuss and resolve issues
• Receive your route assignment and the company-provided smartphone/GPS device
• Perform a pre-route vehicle inspection by following a company checklist
• Leave the delivery station and deliver up to 250 packages by following the pre-planned route already uploaded in the company-provided smartphone/GPS device
• Closely follow all delivery instructions and standard operating procedures
• Take rest and lunch breaks
• Maintain regular contact with Lead Driver and Dispatch on status of your route
• Help another delivery driver (i.e., rescue), as needed
• Deliver every package safely and efficiently
• Return van to station after refueling it for the next day (company will provide a fuel card)
• Remove all trash & debris from van
• Return smartphone/GPS device, keys and other items to company; debrief with Lead Driver
• Perform post-trip vehicle inspection by following company checklist

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Consent to a Motor Vehicle Record Check
• Consent to a Drug Test
• Reliable Attendance Record and Hardworking
• Honest and Trustworthy
• Must be physically able to handle the Las Vegas weather/heat, as well as walking, lifting, bending, stooping and/or squatting that is required to perform this job
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pound boxes without assistance
• Cannot have any physical restrictions on walking, lifting, bending, stooping and/or squatting
• Must be able to follow instructions from management and smartphone/GPS device
• Must be able to work at a consistently quick but SAFE pace and complete work in 10 hours delivering up to 250 packages a day
• Must be able to easily get in and out of the van 180 times a day without accommodation and walk essentially 3-4 miles a day
• Must be a safe driver and observe all traffic laws and company safety policies
• Must act professionally and be courteous and respectful at all times with customers and co-workers
• Must treat vehicles and equipment with care and respect and not damage them
• Must have a history of excellent attendance at work; no history of no-shows or calling in sick without a doctors note
• Must be comfortable using cell phone apps in an efficient and accurate way
