Fur-Get Me Not is looking for an experienced, energetic Specialist, Team Lead, or Assistant Manager for our award winning Dog Daycare in Arlington. This is a great opportunity for an experienced dog handler, with a dog behavior and management background, who is comfortable with dogs of all sizes, with dogs in a group setting, and would enjoy continuing to learn about dog behavior and off-leash play. We are a family-owned and operated pet care business that has become one of the DC Metro area's most trusted sources for dog daycare/boarding and a suite of other pet services including walking, pet-sitting, and dog training. Our dog daycare is a high energy indoor dog park-like environment that enables dogs to socialize, burn off excess energy, and learn. It's our commitment to make sure every dog has a fun and safe experience. Our attendants engage the dogs with various toys and work towards understanding their individual personalities and play styles to foster appropriate behaviors. We also offer the dogs a suite of enrichment services to engage their senses that include add on activities, small group camps, and a full day enrichment school alternative to the high energy daycare environment. We are looking for a hands-on leader who can lead Sundays and also work on weekdays. The position could be part time or full time for the right candidate. Specialist Responsibilities Include
Engaging dogs with toys and creative play
Ability to remain calm and interrupt aggressive play safely and effectively
Lead a playroom through the dog's daily schedule including playtime, toy time, and rest time
Write report cards to report back to the dog's family on their day
Be a good candidate to move to the Team Lead level after some additional experience.
Team Lead Responsibilities Include The Above Plus
Be a Daycare department ambassador
Regularly mentor team members
Lead the daily operations. Supervising Daycare Attendants in up to 5 play group an be able to run a playgroup whenever needed
Conduct dog evaluations to safely determine a dog's fit with our daycare environment
Regularly communicate with customers to offer resolutions
Assistant Manager Responsibilities Include The Above Plus
Company ambassador
Scheduling and ensuring adequate coverage of play groups
Manage new hire training plans and current team members progress against their training plan ensuring they are meeting performance goals
Regularly communicating between other managers as well as owners on the state of Daycare and boarding, as needed. Implement improvement projects
Communicate with customers directly about their dog's behavior and fit in our daycare environment
Work on department improvement projects

Minimum Requirements
Must be able to pass a background check
Must be able to commute to daycare location without issue (car, metro, bike, bus, walk -- no problem!)
