Valley Pacific is looking for an PM Transport driver in Chico, California. This person will report to the terminal manager and will drive locally.

Responsibilities:

• Act in accordance with the company’s code of ethics and mission statement.
• Able and willing to respond to emergencies, urgent or unusual situations (spill/mix cleanups, fires, accidents, urgent customer demands, weekend, holiday, and overnight assignments).
• Remains calm in demanding situations.
• Personally well-groomed and uniformed.
• Knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous to customers and suppliers.
• Maintains a good working relationship with all drivers, dispatchers, and management.
• Takes good care of company trucks and equipment.
• Turns all required paperwork and documentation in timely, legibly, and accurately.
• Lift up to and occasionally over 75 lbs.
• Drag up to and occasionally over 75 lbs. over 100 ft.
• Have full range of motion to lift items up to and over 25 lbs., up to and over their shoulders.
• Have a full range of motion in their back, neck, hips, and all other joints.
• Have full dexterity in their hands and fingers.
• Possess grip strength up to 50 lbs. in each hand.
• Ascend and descend a ladder and stairs carrying up to and over 25 lbs.
• Descend to a squat and knelt position.
• Stand up from a squatted or knelt position.

Driver Requirements:

• Valid CA Class A license
• Tanker and HazMat Endorsements
• One year of class A or B driving experience/ Willing to Train Qualified Applicants
• Clean MVR Record required.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical, background check, and drug and alcohol test.
• Must be able to pass a driving test.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
