ABOUT US: The Schaumburg Park District is an award-winning public agency that provides its 80,000 residents with a wide variety of recreational facilities, programs, events, parks and open spaces. The Bock Neighborhood Center is nestled in the heart of Bock Park (1223 W. Sharon Lane, Schaumburg) and is home to a popular preschool program, rental space for birthday parties, and an outdoor pool open every summer!

JOB SUMMARY: Front Desk Staff at the Bock Neighborhood Center are responsible for greeting our guests, answering phone calls, maintaining a monthly building calendar, assisting with preschool set-up and take-down, performing light housekeeping activities, troubleshooting issues that may arise, and in general, providing outstanding customer service to all patrons of the center. Front Desk Staff may also be responsible for opening and closing the Bock Neighborhood Center when required.

QUALIFICATIONS: The best applicants will have a friendly, outgoing personality along with prior office, clerical and customer service work experience. The ability to complete our CPR/AED certification within 30 days also required.

SCHEDULING & PAY: This is a part-time seasonal position working from August-May with the following schedule: Monday 9am-1pm, Tuesday 9am-1pm, Wednesday 9am-11:30am, Thursday 9am-1pm & Friday 9am-1pm. Target hiring range is $15.00/hour, DOQ (depending on qualifications).
