Full-Time 1 – 5 Years’ Experience. Security/Burglar Alarm and IP CCTV Systems Installation Technician - Fairfield, NJ

Homeland Security & Life Safety Systems, LLC is growing rapidly and looking for experienced technician to install in the Electronic Security, Burglar Alarm, IP CCTV, Intercom and Access Control Systems. Candidate must be proficient at installing and troubleshooting, using a digital multi-meter, network tester, IP camera addressing toll, hand tools and power tools, and running wires and network cabling.

TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• High School Diploma or Tech School Certification
• Continually learn new products, upgrades and software programs related to low voltage systems
• Installing low voltage security systems in a new construction commercial, warehouse, data centers, banking and retail environment
• Read and understand wiring diagram and floor plans
• Terminating and installing security, CCTV and Access devises
• Some programming knowledge
• Testing /troubleshooting system issues
• Pulling Fiber and Cat6
• Responsible for maintaining company vehicle’s inventory

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

• Valid New Jersey driver’s license
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a field Technician and able to trouble shooting CCTV and alarm systems
• Terminating RJ-45 Cat6/Cat5 modules
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work on heights (scissor, boom lifts and ladders)
• Must be able to climb, crawl and raise objects overhead
