This position is for second shift (4:30pm - 3:00am) but will require a brief training period on first shift (6:00am - 4:30pm). To apply, please submit a resume through this posting or obtain an application in person at our facility.

Primary Purpose of Role:
The primary purpose of the Laser Technician is to set-up operate, and control the laser machine functions in both manual and automatic modes for various materials according to customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
❖ Demonstrate ability and skills necessary to set-up, operate, and control all laser machine functions in both manual and automatic modes for various materials.
❖ Determine specific operation codes and entering commands to retrieve programming, writing, and editing programs when called to do so.
❖ Visually inspect and evaluate finished products for defects and laser quality.
❖ Measure and verify components meet specified blueprints, sketches, and/or specifications using various measurement equipment necessary to task.
❖ Certified level two operator per operator acceptance procedure.
❖ Monitor laser operations to assure equipment is functioning in a safe and efficient manner, notify supervisor of equipment malfunctions and affecting process adjustments to correct.
❖ Assure operations/tasks are followed as specified on routers, notifying supervisor when operation not meeting requirements.
❖ Oversee and assure routine maintenance is performed properly and corrective actions are implemented.
❖ Evaluate and monitor all tooling and fixture use and repairs.
❖ Evaluate all operation set-ups and process procedures, creating and implementing written documentation and standardization.
❖ Provide written/oral instructions for lower level operators.
❖ Provide accurate records, documentation and records of processes and variances.
❖ Assist with development and production of all engineering test parts.
❖ Train and assist lower level operators in proper equipment operations, methodology and terminology.
❖ Additional Responsibilities:
o Maintain housekeeping at and around department. Apply 6s principles to all areas of the plant.
o Wear all personal protective equipment necessary to task and area.
o Follow all quality systems and AeroGen-TEK operating procedures as applies to certifications, duties, and training matrix. o Follow all AeroGen-TEK rules and regulations, including safety rules. o Perform any other duties deemed necessary by management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Metal Fabrication/Manufacturing: 2 years (Preferred)
• Laser Equipment: 2 years (Preferred)
