Position Information:
- Department: Procurement/Accounting/Warehouse Services
- Full Time: An estimated 40-50 hours per week depending on the time of year.
- Work Schedule: 6 AM Start Time, 5 Days Per Week – M-F (Load Dependent: Could require an occasional 5:00-5:30 AM Start) Not eligible for remote or hybrid work classification.
- Pay Structure: $20-22/hour with overtime (after 40 hours) at time and a half.

The ideal candidate has some exposure to the solar installation process and is comfortable or knowledgeable with respect to materials and product lines used. We are looking for someone who prefers a warehouse type environment, with the opportunity for outdoor work occasionally; yet still feels comfortable interacting in an office role with general laptop operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists field operations, service and accounting in the procurement, movement, storage, and job costing of tools and materials. Daily tasking includes 8 pipelines subject to unlimited moving targets, partial dispatches, and project schedule volatility.
- Bi-state support as needed requiring occasional travel (rarely overnight) to assist with bulk module and equipment receiving/offload, transportation of large equipment to and from the project site, and/or time sensitive material delivery to satellite crews. This includes a monthly (daytime) touch to our warehouse in Bloomington Normal, IL to assist with inventory, recycling, and maintenance issues.
- Assist with trailer and fleet cleanout and/or maintenance.
- Process and sort returned materials for RMA, reallocation and/or redeployment.
- Daily pre-load, load, and unload of job material via forklift operation and tie down. All crews should be ready to depart the warehouse no later than 7am daily.
- Comfortably able to lift 75 lbs, climb ladders, bend and kneel repeatedly, work with power tools, and work in varying temperatures
- Daily staging of project materials for future departure using checklists, one-lines, and project records. This includes cross-referencing design, tech onsite, procurement and/or sales documentation for reporting, counting, and correcting discrepancies.
- Collecting and reporting product serial numbers prior to job deployment. Report DAILY deployment and inventory requisitions for job costing to the accounting department.
- Prepare, stage, and load jobs to be shipped via courier and/or trucking service to satellite warehouses and/or project sites. This includes subcontractor material support.
- Completion of priority daily procurement runs outside of the warehouse as needed to local vendors/job sites to locate and/or deliver materials/tools to include bi-monthly recycling center drop offs.
- Coordinate and/or respond to emergency vehicle/equipment failures and/or scheduling/shuttling of vehicles to assist in fleet management/repair. (32 vehicle/large equipment units companywide).
- General warehouse cleanliness (Proper placement of equipment, processing waste, sweeping, storage optimization, excess material, and outside lot management).
- Maintaining storage and logistics solutions for our four warehouse locations at HQ-STL, Trenton-STL and Bloomington Normal, IL.
- Articulate with team members to ensure project completion efficiently.
- Maintain pace intensity to match the needs of all field, service, and accounting support initiatives
Additional Qualifications:
- Critical/Pivotal Role requiring exceptional attendance and reliability.
- Previous experience in solar industry, electricity, or other technical warehouse related background a plus.
- Must have an excellent driving and safety record.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Class E driver’s license preferred, or willing to obtain, but not required
- OSHA 10 certification, or willingness to obtain prior to start date
- Smartphone/Laptop knowledge
- Ability to receive and process incoming requests via phone, email, and alerts and prioritize action items needed to complete to deploy/support the needs of our crews
- Experienced working in cloud-based computer networks (preferred)
- MS office and Google Suite experience (preferred)
- Spreadsheet experience (preferred)
- Proficient math skills required: add, subtract, multiply, divide, average
- Present a consistent positive attitude and exceptional teamwork
- Strong focus on logistical solutions and processes
- A focus on continuous improvement and efficiency
- Strong ability to manage numerous priorities, multitask, and follow through on assigned tasks and projects with minimal supervision
- Experience Driving various sized vehicles/trucks, trailer tow/backing, forklift operations and general small/medium tool operation a plus.
Typical Week of Work Includes the Following:
● Warehouse Operations & Crew Support (65%)
- Assisting crews to clean out trucks/trailers. Process and sort return material, recycling, and trash. Forklift loading. Tying down rails, modules, & equipment. (10%)
- Staging Jobs – counting materials, palletizing, reporting and correcting discrepancies pre deployment. (45%)
- Processing returns, reallocations, and recyclables (5%)
- General warehouse cleanliness (Proper placement of equipment, processing waste, sweeping, storage optimization, excess material management, and outside lot management). (4%)
- Attend various production/procurement meetings weekly and suggest/implement process enhancements to improve workflows and efficiencies (1%)
● Local Driving/Delivery/Satellite Crew Support (22%)
- Locating, Acquiring and Delivery of materials and tools
- Special assignments and sourcing of unique items needed
- Assisting with fleet management/repair schedule and vehicle positioning
● Administrative (10%)
- Review necessary sales/design/project/procurement files, update necessary project files, product serial numbers, RMA related paperwork, shipping manifests, and inventory allocation/job costing/accounting requirements.

- Occasional truck/trailer travel (in company vehicles) within the Missouri - Illinois region
