Position will be based in Laurens County and serve the ten counties of the South Central Health District (Bleckley, Dodge, Johnson, Laurens, Montgomery, Pulaski, Telfair, Treutlen, Wheeler and Wilcox)

Job Description: Under general supervision, plans, organizes, or manages the activities of social service or community programs. Oversees the program or organization’s policies regarding participant involvement and requirements. Duties will include the supervision of Healthy Start case managers, coordination of staff training, workload and documentation, and coordination of services. Travel is required.

Minimum

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Two years of professional experience in a human services field; Two years of experience at the lower level Social Services Program Manager 1 (SSP020) or equivalent. Previous supervisory experience.

Preferred

Qualifications: Social services and/or maternal and child

health experience. Computer and data entry skills. Must have a vehicle for District travel.
