We believe in the power of cannabis to cultivate health and happiness and to help people lead healthier, richer lives in our communities. We’ve seen how cannabis has helped our own families and friends fight an illness, manage anxiety, and bring new types of creativity into their lives. It’s the reason we founded Solful as a different kind of cannabis retail experience. We’re on a mission to not only educate our guests but to learn from them as well. We want to dispel old stereotypes about cannabis and replace them with objective information and learned understanding about how cannabis can improve lives. We want to lead a movement that brings cannabis into the mainstream conversation about the health of our bodies, spirits, and our ever-evolving culture. We’ve started in Northern California and have ambitions to influence conversations and experiences around cannabis nationally.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Inventory Manager is responsible for optimizing the management of inventory at Solful stores through strategic and thoughtful day-to-day purchasing decisions, close collaboration with Solful’s supply partners, analysis in collaboration with the Purchasing Manager, and timely and clear communication with the Solful team.

WHO YOU ARE

You successfully optimize inventory levels in all Solful retail stores.

• Maintain appropriate inventory levels to minimize out-of-stocks, maintain Solful’s full assortment, and maximize inventory turns
• Collaborate with Operations teams to plan for and manage physical inventory limitations, challenges, and opportunities from an allocation perspective
• Ensure the appropriate purchase of inventory in collaboration with and as directed by Purchasing Manager and Finance team
• Support the refinement of inventory purchasing and management through providing analysis and feedback

You maintain strong day-to-day relationships with Solful Supply Partners through efficient, organized, and timely communications.

• Act as the day-to-day liaison between Solful Supply Partners and the Solful team
• Coordinate all Supply Partner integrations needed to execute the Solful Product Strategy and maintain assortment (i.e. onboarding Supply Partners)
• Manage Supply Partner inquiries, requests, and opportunities and collaborate with Purchasing Manager to efficiently prioritize and execute Product Strategy
• Support the execution of marketing and promotional campaigns from an inventory management and Supply partner communication perspective

You make analytical and data-driven decisions to manage Solful’s day-to-day inventory function.

• Leverage and analyze data to inform inventory purchasing decisions
• Support the creation of the necessary tools and reporting to effectively analyze Solful’s data to optimize inventory levels in collaboration with Purchasing Manager
• Make use of resources and vendors available to access analytics and reporting that are critical for the inventory management function in collaboration with the Purchasing Manager
• Ensure that resources and vendors provide necessary analytics and reporting to efficiently manage inventory management and execute Solful’s Product Strategy in collaboration with Purchasing Manager

You are a skilled communicator and collaborator to support the inventory management, operational, marketing, and financial needs of the business.

• Communicate with the appropriate members of the various Solful teams in a timely, effective, and efficient manner to inform all necessary parties of all inventory management related matters
• Report Supply Partner inventory challenges and issues swiftly and clearly to appropriate members of Solful team
• Support store operations teams with Supply Partner related issues as needed

Inventory Manager Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute orders to maintain optimal inventory levels at all Solful stores to maximize inventory turns and minimize out-of-stocks.
• Create ordering parameters and model stocks that take into account store capacity, demand, seasonality, promotional activity, and product life cycles.
• Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager to make adjustments to product assortment and Product Strategy based on SKU and category performance.
• Monitor and analyze inventory performance in collaboration with Purchasing Manager to adjust orders as needed.
• Coordinate and manage onboarding of new Supply Partners as directed by the Purchasing Manager.
• Manage inventory levels of appropriate packaging and other necessary raw materials to support Solful brand products.
• Coordinate Supply Partner inquires, requests, and opportunities in collaboration with Purchasing Manager.
• Manage financial impact of inventory decisions and be a stakeholder of P&L ownership.
• Execute promotional activity in collaboration with Supply Partners as directed by Purchasing Manager in coordination with Marketing and Operations team.
• Analyze and approve credit reports and Supply Partner payables.
• Coordinate delivery of raw cannabis goods (i.e. flower) to Solful distribution facility in partnership with Operations.
• Collaborate with other members of Product Team to create the necessary inventory management tools to support Solful’s planned growth.
• Conduct routine store visits to analyze inventory levels and workload in partnership with store and Operations teams.
• Other necessary duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• May have to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to move about a retail store for long periods of time during a workday
• Possible significant manual dexterity at times for keying in data

Expected Work Hours

• May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• May be required to work more than 8 hours in a day
• May be required to work more than 40 hours in a week

Pay: $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
