SCHEDULE:

Weekdays 7:30am to 3:30pm, with paid holidays including the Thanksgiving, December, February and April school breaks, plus additional accumulated paid leave.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED, plus either an Infant & Toddler Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or college degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or equivalent formal education in the development of young children.
• Requires at least one year of specific training and/or experience with children ages 1 to 2 in a group setting.
• Basic computer skills required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, learning environment for up to eight children between 1 and 2 years old, working alongside two other classroom team members.

2. Advance physical and intellectual competence: Provide activities and opportunities that promote physical development and encourage communication, curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving appropriate to the developmental levels and learning styles of children.

3. Support social and emotional development and provide positive guidance through attachment, initiative, self-regulation and positive guidance.

4. Establish positive and engaging relationships with families of enrolled children.
