Planar Sensor Technician on the Second Shift (3:00 P.M. - 11:30 P.M. - This includes a 10% Shift Differential) in our Waltham, MA facility. This person is responsible for performing medium to high complexity assembly operations to produce a variety of planar-based biosensor for core analyzers. Must have the ability to work independently and efficiently and have a strong attention to detail.

Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities Include:

• Ability to work with various epoxies, solvents and chemicals as required during assembly
• Requires a high level of attention to detail through all aspects of the assembly process
• Must have the ability to work under a microscope for extended time periods
• Must be able to stand 70-80 % of the time.
• Must be able to operate all process equipment but not limited to, auto dispensers, pipettes, laser cutters, electroplating equipment
• Ability to understand assembly procedures, drawings, verbal instructions and related documentation to assemble various product
• Other functions may include prepping sensor cards, assembling sensor cards, UV epoxying, and packaging.
• Person must be versatile and able to work alternately in a seated or standing position

Qualifications:

• Good math skills
• Good communication skills, verbal and written
• Strong attention to detail

Skills and Competencies:

• QSR/ISO Regulations
• AP, TP, OI and OP training are a plus

Education/Experience:

• High School/Trade School diploma
• Three (3) years in a manufacturing environment
