The Position:

The Foster Care Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the foster care support staff, as well as the support of the foster parents and the care of the children we serve.

Responsibilities:

• Leads, manages and holds accountable Foster Care staff for designated support services. This also includes supervising and managing foster parents and children/youth living in Christian Heritage foster, kinship or relative homes.
• Hires, trains, coaches, encourages and evaluates direct reports.
• Reviews and approves all documentation that is required for youth files, ensuring information is completed accurately and on time.
• Completes follow-ups on reported care concerns from contracting agencies and follows communication protocol.
• Participates in the referral process and has knowledge of acceptance criteria of foster youth.
• Available for occasional after hours work and ability to support staff in after-hour emergencies.

Qualifications:

• A follower of Jesus Christ
• Bachelor's degree in Human Services related field (Psychology, Education, Social Work or Criminal Justice)
• Experience working in Child Welfare and/or Human Services
• Must have knowledge of Nebraska's foster care system
• Supervisory experience preferred
