Jupiter Holdings is Hiring a Human Resource Manager Near Charleston, SC

Description:

Position Summary:

Due to an upcoming retirement, Jupiter Holdings is seeking a Human Resource Manager who will, along with the HR Generalist, handle all HR related functions for approximately 440 employees. The role reports to the COO and provides overall strategic input on the management and development of Human Resources. Formulates goals and objectives and recommends policies and practices that ensure the proper balance to meet the needs and values of the organization. Supports all levels of employees, brokers, vendors and government officials. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

¨ Supervise the HR Generalist who is responsible for payroll and benefit administration. Backup for payroll and benefit tasks in the absence of the HR Generalist.

¨ Point of contact and manager of all workers’ compensation claims and processes.

¨ Communicate and consult with upper management and legal counsel concerning all legal matters.

¨ Maintains 401k regulatory files by submitting weekly contributions and maintain reports.

¨ Partner with broker in new plan designs for annual open enrollment.

¨ Support the organizations third party vendors in 401k distributions, benefits, and all HR related task.

¨ Manage the organizations Random Drug Screening program.

¨ Manage the organization leave programs relating to FMLA or other leave requests.

¨ Knowledge in processes relating to required government reports.

¨ Respond to unemployment, STD/LTD and other requested information.

¨ Maintains compliance with federal and state employment regulations.

Requirements:

Qualifications/Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

¨ Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resource Management and a minimum of three years’ experience in a HR management role. Five years' experience as a Human Resource Manager along with a HR Certification from SHRM or HRCI will be considered. A certification from SHRM or HRCI is preferred.

¨ Must have excellent organizational and project-management skills, as well as a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.

¨ Must have expert knowledge of MS Office Applications, Windows operating systems. Knowledge of Paylocity HRIS systems is a plus.

¨ Analytical ability is required to gather and summarize data for reports, solve various problems, and prioritize work.

Ability to sit for long periods of time and work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and support demands while seeking supervisory assistance as appropriate.
