Patient Service Representative

Must be familiar with health insurance and electronic medical records. Previous experience in patient collect pre-authorizations, co-pays, past due balances and out of pocket amounts preferred. We have 4 offices in the Dayton area, travel may be required. All applicants must be dependable, highly motivated, responsible, handle multiple tasks, and work well in a team environment. Must have excellent communication and computer skills, experience with electronic medical records is a plus. Understanding of HIPPA law is required. Patient confidentiality must be treated with utmost importance.GI experience is preferred but not necessary.

• Greet and interact with patients and staff in a friendly and professional manner
• Check clients in for services, verify status in EMR, and notify assigned staff member.
• Register patients according to protocol.
• Verify client insurance. Verify client payment amounts. Collect patient co-pays at the time of service.
• Ensure that patient demographics and payer source(s) are entered into EMR.
• Assure that HIPAA confidentiality regulations are followed. Ensure that client rights are delivered to clients.
• Handle mail and route to correct individual, as applicable.
• Schedule patients in an accurate manner per program procedures.
• Ensure scanning of patient documents into the EMR in a timely manner.
• Order office and paper supplies as needed.
• Distribute and collect patient satisfaction surveys.
• Enter patient information into EMR system and retrieve data.

Pay: $31,000.00 - $33,000.00 per year
