We are seeking a Medical Director / Hospitalist to join our team!
Job Duties
Deliver high-quality medical care to hospitalized patients, conducting initial assessments, daily rounds, and ongoing management.
Perform thorough physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations to formulate precise diagnoses and treatment plans.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care, involving nurses, specialists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests to aid in patient diagnosis and management.
Prescribe medications and treatments tailored to individual patient needs, following evidence-based guidelines.
Monitor patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed for optimal outcomes and timely discharge.
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and follow-up care plans.
Accurately document patient care activities in the electronic medical record system.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
MD/DO with unrestricted medical license required.
Board Certification or board eligible in Internal Medicine/Family Medicine Required
3 to 4 years of experience in an in-patient healthcare setting is highly desirable.
Extensive knowledge of the health and aging process
Demonstrates practical interpersonal communication skills.
Brings an innovative approach to work, and can “think outside the box.”
Takes a team approach in accomplishing treatment goals.
Possesses strong clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Demonstrates sound judgment in anticipating problems or adverse outcomes; takes appropriate corrective action.
