We are a logistics company seeking a Dispatcher to join our team! As a Dispatcher, you will maintain the day-to-day monitoring of a customer-specific driver’s route assignments, ensuring that the duties and responsibilities of the position are complete. This position ensures that the attention to detail and customer service philosophy of Translogistix is nurtured and maintained at all times.
The performance and success of a Dispatcher will be measured by the flow and efficiency of the customer’s routing assignments and their ability to consistently communicate with the customer, as well as their ability to assist others and increase process proficiency with the overall expectation being that all management and individual goals and objectives are met and exceeded.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Prepare and monitor each driver and/or route assigned by our customer and to ensure on time statuses of each load and or route as well as maintaining clear and concise communication with all drivers and fellow employees.
· Responsible for the preparation and training of new drivers for duty, specifically in the training of mobile and scanner applications employed by Translogistix and our customer.
· Following procedures, will instruct new drivers through the Translogistix Orientation Program in the training and operational duties of drivers assigned to our customer.
· Proper follow-up and reporting on all orders for all drivers assigned to the customer.
· May be responsible in assisting of entering, managing, and maintaining all files for Translogistix drivers under Corporate, Customer, and DOT guidelines and requirements.
· Addition paid On Call rotation for taking emergency calls from the customer and drivers regarding any route changes on Weekends and Holidays.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
· Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
· Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Courier/Transportation industry experience required
· Must have a clean driving record
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
EXCELLENT COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
· $40k-$45k
· Excellent benefits package includes medical (highly competitive rates), dental, vision, 401k plan and life insurance and paid time off
