Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Periodontist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease, gum and oral inflammation.
To be successful as a periodontist, you should demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, possess manual dexterity, and be up-to-date with the latest treatment methods and development. Ultimately, a top-notch periodontist should possess physical stamina, problem-solving skills, and be detail-orientated.
Duties:
- Perform periodontal treatments such as scaling and root planing, gum grafts, and dental implants
- Diagnose and treat oral inflammation and diseases affecting the gums
- Conduct surgical procedures related to the gums and supporting structures of the teeth
- Collaborate with general dentists for comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices for maintaining healthy gums
Skills:
- Proficiency in dental office procedures and protocols
- Experience in oral surgery techniques
- Ability to monitor vital signs during procedures
- Knowledge of maintaining accurate medical records
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques to prevent infections
- Competence in using Dentrix or similar dental software for patient management
- Understanding of medical coding for billing purposes
- Expertise in endodontics for root canal treatments if needed
- Familiarity with medical imaging technologies for diagnosing oral conditions
- Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software for creating dental restorations
Periodontist Requirements:
This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Candidates must hold a valid license to practice as a Periodontist. Additional certifications or training in advanced periodontal procedures are advantageous.
