About The PositionAs a Heat Treat Technician, you will be responsible for the operation of heat-treating equipment used to process precision knife components. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and durability of our products. While prior experience in heat treatment is a plus, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and a keen interest in learning specialized skills.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operate and maintain heat treatment furnaces and other related equipment.
- Monitor the heat-treating process to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment.
- Assist in the development of heat treatment schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of processes, tests, and results.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree preferred.
- Strong work history demonstrating reliability and commitment.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
- Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn complex processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
