Our ideal candidate for this position must have at least 3 years of dental front office experience and recent Dentrix experience, with the ability to pick up new systems and concepts at a quick pace. Candidates who have experience with the following are strongly encouraged to apply:

  • Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
  • Insurance adjustment knowledge and the ability to verify dental insurance for patients
  • Treatment planning and presentation skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Dentrix software
  • Dental hygiene and doctor scheduling protocol
  • Reception (inbound and outbound phone calls)

YOUR PRIMARY ROLE:

  • Be part of a team taking inbound calls and resolving routine needs of callers - create new appointments, cancel/reschedule appointments, explain basic billing questions, accept payment over the phone, forward calls, etc.
  • Respond to inbound emails, text messages, etc. via the patient communication portal.
  • Make outbound calls to confirm appointments, help fill hygiene & doctor schedule, and follow up on unscheduled treatment.
  • Treatment Planning and Presentation: Excellent knowledge and experience with dental treatment planning and presentation. Be able to enter a treatment plan in Dentrix, understand insurance, explain treatment needed to the patient, and calculate their co-payment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Reliability— showing up to every scheduled shift, as we count on you to run our daily business operations.
  • At least 3 years of front office experience in a large, general dentistry, multi-doctor practice.
  • At least 2 years of recent Dentrix (local server-based, not Dentrix Ascend) experience.
  • Full-time availability: 32 - 36 hours weekly, M-Th schedule, one Saturday/month required.
