Quality Packaging Specialists International is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Burlington, NJ

Principle Job Function:

This position is responsible for owning and overseeing day-to-day Human Resources operations. The principal responsibility of every employee is to aid in the production of superior-quality products.

Principle Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:

  • Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Administers compensation program; monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
  • Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career pathing program, writes and places advertisements.
  • Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars. Maintains company organization charts and employee directories.
  • Assists in the evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of the department to established goals.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from the database including time and attendance and HRIS systems.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of employment law and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a generalist HR role, with a focus on employee relations is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Previous HR experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, but not required.
  • Previous Employee Relations experience is required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
