Gordon Research Conferences is a nonprofit organization with a prestigious reputation for creating enduring scientific communities that advance the frontiers of research in biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, and related technologies. Our conferences bring a global network of scientists together to discuss the latest pre-publication research in their field. We organize over 400 Gordon Research Conferences (GRCs) and Gordon Research Seminars (GRSs) globally per year, each highlighting cutting-edge research in fields ranging from physics to neurobiology, material science and engineering, to medicine.
Transportation Coordinators
GRC hires individuals to work on-site at the Embassy Suites Boston Logan Airport each Saturday and Sunday to coordinate conference attendees and ensure their departure on the appropriate conference buses. The position includes utilizing GRC systems to check in conference attendees and distribute bus tickets, providing information about available food options prior to departure, and announcing bus arrivals and departures.
Who GRC is looking for:
Transportation coordinators must be available to travel to Embassy Suites Boston Logan Airport each weekend and have excellent customer service skills. This position interacts with scientists of all career-stages, from postdocs and graduate students all the way to Nobel Laureates and must be courteous and attentive to all conferees.
Dates of Employment:
The GRC conference season as a whole runs from June 1st through late August, and buses run every weekend on Saturday and Sunday, with the exception of June 28 and 29th, 2024. Employees work approximately 8 hours per week and must be able to travel to the Embassy Suites Boston Logan Airport each Saturday and Sunday.
